This project involved the successful completion of 26 pipeline abandonments in the Chinchaga Region near Manning, AB, as part of Tourmaline Oil Corp.'s Site Rehabilitation Program (SRP). The scope of work included the abandonment of well sites, natural gas pipelines, and fuel gas supply pipelines. The project, executed between December 2021 and March 2022, focused on maintaining strict safety and environmental standards. The team monitored connection details for Asbestos-Containing Material (ACM), Lower Explosive Limit (LEL) Methane, and Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) levels. Comprehensive sampling confirmed that there were no Naturally Occurring Radioactive Materials (NORMs) or radon present at any of the lease or pipeline riser locations. The project was completed efficiently within the budget of $235,500.00.
